There are 3 common types of customer account status but only customers with 'active account' status can get discounts set up for tagged customers.

Customer account status types
- Type #1: Active Accounts
- Type #2: Disabled accounts
- Type #3: Account invite sent
Type #1: Has an account (Active account)
The 'has an account' status appears to the registered customers. The registered customers are those who have signed up and activated their accounts by entering a password.
- Only these customers will get the discounts that you have set up for tagged customers.
Type #2: No account (Disabled Account)
The 'NO account' status appears to the non-registered customers.
- These customers will not get the discounts that you have set up for tagged customers. However, they can still get the discount if you have set up for all customers.
Type #3: Account invite sent (Invited to create account)
The 'account invite sent' status appears to those customers who have received the account activation link via email by store owner but haven't yet activated their accounts.
- These customers will not get the discounts that you have set up for tagged customers. However, they can still get the discount if you have set up for all customers.
How to filter customers list based on their status?
- Find customers with 'has an account' status
- Find customers with 'No account' status
- Find customers with 'Account invite sent' status
Please follow the following instructions to filter customers based on their status such as 'No account', 'Account invite sent' or 'has an account'.
Let's assume that you have set up discounts for the 'wholesale' tagged customers, and only those customers who have active accounts will get the discounts.
Find customers with 'has an account' status
- Let's filter those customers who have Active account (has an account) status.
- These filtered customers will get the matching discounts.
Find customers with 'No account' status
- Lets filter those customers who have Disabled account (No account) account status
- These filtered customers wouldn't get the matching discounts.
Find customers with 'Account invite sent' status
- Lets filter those customers who have Invited to create account (Account Invite sent) account status
- These filtered customers wouldn't get the matching discounts.
How to change customer status to 'Active Account'?
In order to change the customer account status from 'No account' to 'has an account', please follow these instructions:
- Click the 'Send account invite' link from customer detail page, and then click the 'Review email' button from the popup, and press the 'Send notification' button as outlined on the below screenshot.
- The customer will receive an email notification to create an account, Once the customer sets the password for his account through email invite link, then customer account status will change from 'No account' to has an account. After that customer can login and get the offered discounts.
Note, You can 'send account invite' to each customer one by one. Or you can use any additional application to send invite to the customers to active their accounts.
