This article explains the different Shopify customer account settings and how they interact with the Wholesale All-in-One (WSAIO) app.
WSAIO App Compatibility
The WSAIO app is compatible with both customer account versions: "Log in with no password" and "Legacy account". You can freely switch between these versions without impacting the WSAIO app's core functionality. Your existing tags will remain and customers will continue to access the WSAIO app as before.

Customer Accounts (One-time login code):
Customers log in with a one-time code sent to their email (no passwords), simplifying the login process for customers. However, it does not include the option to send customer invites.

With this method, customers don't need to register through the wholesale signup form. Simply adding the wholesale discount tag to their account grants them access to discounted pricing via the WSAIO app.
Note:
Customer must be logged in before proceeding to the checkout page. If a customer logs in after proceeding to the checkout page, the discount will not work.
We recommend that you add the 'Wholesale' Login/Register link to the header navigation on your website so that customers can log in before proceeding to the checkout page. Learn more
Legacy Customer Accounts (Email and password):
This method requires customers to log in using their email address and password. Moreover, this setting provides the option to send customer invites, enabling customers to easily set their passwords and access their accounts.

If you choose this option, customers must register through the wholesale signup form. Once registered, you'll need to add the wholesale discount tag to their account to activate their wholesale pricing within the WSAIO app.
